Clutch’s Diary, Entry 2:

The Chrono Station Disaster 09:30 AM My first major tactical hurdle. We had to take our guns to the "chrono station" to test how fast they shoot. I proudly stepped up with my brand-new, budget-tier rifle.

The referee hooked it up, had me fire three shots, and shook his head. "Bro, this is shooting at 420 fps.

Our field limit for rifles is 350. You're too hot." Panic gripped me. I don’t know how to change a spring. I don’t even know what a gearbox looks like.

The referee sighed, handed me a pair of wire cutters, and told me I could clip the spring or rent a gun.

I chose option C: I spent the next twenty minutes frantically firing the gun at a blue water container, hoping I could somehow "wear out" the spring through sheer willpower.

It did not work.

I am now using a rented plastic gun that rattles when I walk. My tactical edge is completely gone.
